James Talarico, the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate in Texas, stepped off the campaign trail in late September 2026 after his campaign announced he had been diagnosed with the flu.
This market will resolve to "Yes" if James Talarico makes a public campaign appearance between market creation and October 11, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No".
For the purposes of this market, a "public campaign appearance" is defined as Talarico appearing in person at an official campaign event that is open to the public or the press (e.g., a rally, campaign stop, press conference, public meeting, or debate).
Interviews or statements outside of public campaign appearances, including any live or pre-recorded videos of them, will not count. Written statements, social media posts, or audio-only appearances will not count. Private meetings or closed-door events will not count unless the appearance is otherwise open to the press.
The resolution source for this market will be official information from James Talarico or his campaign, as well as a consensus of credible reporting.
